Taylor Hamilton is a licensed massage therapist and practitioner of Eastern Arts. His first exposure to meditation came during a 10 day retreat while traveling around India in 2010 - 2011. Taylor’s original teachings were in the style of Vipassana meditation under the guidance of S.N. Goenka. He has gone on to explore many other styles of meditation and mind-body practices including: Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Thai Massage, Interplay, Ecstatic Dance and Unified Mindfulness. In 2012 he undertook a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training program with a heavy emphasis on meditation and mantras.
Through many hours of practice and many “mistakes”, Taylor has gained a greater understanding of the mind-body phenomenon. He believes that practice in mind-body arts can have a profound and transformative effect on the lives of an individual. While having a great reverence and respect for Eastern tradition, Taylor believes it is important to adapt teachings to the Western culture that we live in. To that aim, he does not teach from any one tradition, rather he blends together concepts, practices, insights, and intuitions from his past teachings and life experiences. He works to meet individuals where they are at on their journeys.
In his free time, Taylor enjoys rock climbing, gardening, being in nature, working on various projects, drawing and playing music.
