My name is Essence Hooks and I am your Licensed Massage Therapist. I completed my certification at Wellspring School of Allied Health with 915 hours of focused studying and 4.0 GPA. I have completed training in Sports Massage, Prenatal, Passive and Facilitating stretch, and use Heat or Cold therapy during each session. My favorite massage work is more along Deep tissue and rehabilitative work.
I passed my National Board Exam and am Licensed to practice in Missouri, Olathe, and Overland Park Kansas.
With each client my touch will respect the inseparable connection between mind, body and spirit. While creating and establishing a partnership through sensory enrichment massage therapy.
Why I do what I do:
I'm extremely interested with how the body can retain stress, releases tension, and heal itself. I've found the connection between mind, body, and spirit when balanced can relieve pain, anxiety, even knots. I love massage because it not only relaxes clients, it also gives clients the opportunity to invest in themselves. I enjoy seeing people and being apart of others self-care regimes.
***All appointments require a 24-hour cancellation notice in order to make the time slot available to other clients. If a 24-hour notice is not given, a $50 fee may be charged. Gift certificates purchased at a discounted rate will be rendered void after an appoointment has been missed and not cancelled within a 24-hour period. All packages expire on the last day of the month in which the 6 or 12-month time frame ends. Service Bundles are recurring charges and require a 30-day written notice to cancel. Massages expire one year from start date of the bundle.

Policies and Procedures
These policies and procedures are intended to help ensure quality care, safety of the client and therapist, and the good name of this business. By scheduling an appointment, you are agreeing to these terms. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
I. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required to make the time slot available to another client if needed. If a 24-hour notice is not given, a $50 fee may be charged.
II. Please arrive 5 minutes early to complete the necessary consultation.
If a client is late, the time will be deducted from the total session time and the full amount will be charged.
III. To ensure cleanliness of the facility and the health of the therapist, please shower or bathe before your session.
The oils, lotions, and cremes do their job better on clean skin, as well.
IV. Clients are to understand this massage is purely therapeutic. Any comments or gestures intended or
interpreted to be inappropriate or sexual in nature will terminate the massage and prevent further sessions from taking place. We reserve the right to stop any session without expressed reason.
Full payment for the session will be due.
By receiving massage from a Licensed Massage Therapist, you are entitled to...
...privacy. Any information shared during the
consultation will remain private. Proper draping during the massage will ensure modest covering in respect to personal boundaries.
...ask questions you may have referring to your session and the procedure being performed.
Here are some suggestions to help the benefits of your massage last longer and become more effective.
1. Drink plenty of water. Massage increses circulation and the release of toxins from the body.
Drinking water will assist in flushing them from your system.
2. Stretch. Muscles are less prone to strain and injury when they are warmed up and loosened
3. Recieve massages often. Progress can only be made with continuous practice.
It will also help reduce daily stress and is conducive to a healthy, happy lifestyle.
